You will have picnic lunch on the way and the journey will take about 7hours through the most unexplored and untouched areas in Tanzania. The Mikumi flood plain is the main feature of the park along with the bordering mountain ranges. Animals commonly found here include lion, eland, hartebeest, buffalo, wildebeest, giraffe, zebra, hippo and elephant. The Mikumi elephants are mainly grazers and do not causes damage. To sleep inside the park will give you an opportunity of viewing animals all the time.
Before breakfast at 6:00 am start a game drive at the park. Morning game viewing, this is the best time because most of the killings take place. Make a game drive up to 8:40 am then you will go for breakfast, after breakfast you will start a safari of 40 minutes to Udzungwa at sanje waterfall which is the highest in Tanzania and you can Swim in the natural pool. Upon arrival you will meet our guide/rangers who will accompany you on the hiking tour. Udzungwa Mountains National Park is well known for its excellent hiking, trekking, mountain climbing, and forest walks. The most popular hiking tour is up to the Sanje waterfalls, looking for monkeys, swimming in plunge pools, and enjoying the spectacular view while enjoying a picnic lunch.
After breakfast at at 0830hrs drive to Nyerere National Park, it take 7 to 8 hours. You will have picnic lunch on the way and the journey will take about 7hours through the most unexplored and untouched areas in Tanzania.
The day will be spent on game viewing in the Game Reserve and at evening you will make a boat safari for 2 to 3 hours. The safari guide points out rare species of animals like the Wild Dogs. Sable antelopes, black rhinoceros, Nile Crocodile, hippopotamus along the banks of the Rufiji river, Cape buffalo, hartebeest and Eland. Picnic lunch and drinks will be served in the wilderness before heading back to camp for dinner and overnight to the gentle grunting of the Camp. Boat Safaris are also the best excursions for bird enthusiasts. The Selous has over 350 bird species, and the river is the place where they congregate in great numbers and are easily seen in the open environment. You might also want to try your luck with the ferocious tiger fish, and weighty catfish that live in the waters in abundance. At evening you will make boat safari.
Earl Morning breakfast at the camp and start a sunrise bush walking. Walking safaris are a fantastic way to get close to nature and learn more about the smaller species and the bush itself. It’s an unforgettable experience to walk within such a vast and untamed area of natural reserve. The walks take about 2-3 hours long. Usually walks leave camp at 6:00AM-6:30 AM after having a cup of tea and some home made biscuits or doughnut. After walking back to the camp for breakfast and start your way to Dar Es Salaam or take a boat to Zanzibar.

Londorosi route: It is also located at the western part of the mountain and you can climb it in 6-8 days. 7 Days Kilimanjaro Climb – Londorosi Route is also known as Shira Plateau. It is used rarely as it requires a 4 x 4 vehicle to drive you from Londorosi gate to the end of vehicle track 22km farther. This route is suitable only during the dry season. It is a popular route for honeymoon trips and people who like the trails which are not populated.
Climbing via Shira Plateau route looks similar to the Lemosho route. The only difference is that you’ll drive from Londorosi gate to Morrum barrier, about 22km, which takes less than 2 hour and the hike can start from there. Also via this route can be climbed for 6days, 7Days and 8days but we strongly recommend at least 7days itinerary in order to get more time for relax and acclimatization.

Western Breach Route Kilimanjaro Climb is one of the least crowded routes and one of the most fascinating. This is by far best non-technical route on the mountain and our summit day is only a 1 to 2 hour hike from our last camp. One of the best features of the route is the longer, slower ascent which gives the body time to acclimatize to the altitude gradually- this greatly increases the success rate. The final night before summit is spent sleeping in the crater next to the towering Furtwangler Glaciers, giving you a stunning view westward towards Mount Meru and the setting African sun. The final ascent is then only 195m and can be undertaken after sunrise and a leisurely breakfast or just early enough to be at the summit during sunrise. This is quite a contrast to the 1200m log required to summit via all other base camp to the summit.

On this trip, we enjoy a whole week in which to explore some of Tanzania’s amazing natural wonders. This exciting safari concentrates to a large extent on the Great Migration as it spends its time in Central Serengeti. In October, this is where we’ll find huge numbers of herd animals such as wildebeest and zebra, as the world’s biggest animal movement seeks grazing terrain. Of course, Nature and rainfall determine the exact route and timings of the animals’ movement, so our daily schedule will be adjusted if necessary to ensure that we see the animals at their very best, at their most numerous.
From our starting-point in Moshi, our spectacular adventure takes us first to Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant population and its landscape of distinctive baobab trees. We then drive to our next destination, Central Serengeti, where we enjoy two whole days marveling at Tanzania’s outstanding wildlife. Each day will bring something new, all explained to you by your expert driver-guide. The Great Migration is often the highlight of people’s lives, never mind the highlight of their safari! After absorbing all the excitement that Serengeti’s wildlife can provide, we head back south, changing scenery to visit stunning Ngorongoro crater, another incredible but totally different venue for the breathtaking animals of Tanzania. You will take with you thousands of memories to share with your friends and family

Experience the majesty of Mount Kilimanjaro on this unforgettable one-day hiking adventure to the scenic Shira Plateau. This route offers a perfect introduction to Africa’s highest mountain without the need for a full summit climb. You’ll explore the lower slopes, where breathtaking landscapes, fresh mountain air, and unique alpine vegetation create a truly magical trekking experience.
The Shira Plateau is one of the oldest volcanic formations on Kilimanjaro, offering wide open views, dramatic scenery, and a peaceful trekking environment. As you hike through moorland zones, you’ll witness giant lobelias, heath vegetation, and, on clear days, sweeping views across the plains below. This is a great opportunity to experience the mountain’s natural beauty while enjoying a manageable and rewarding hike.
Led by professional mountain guides from Eastland Adventures, this day hike is ideal for both beginners and experienced hikers. Along the way, you’ll learn about Kilimanjaro’s ecosystems, geology, and local legends, making the journey both educational and inspiring.

Tej S2025-11-26Great company, guides, and Kilimanjaro experience! Myself and 2 friends went with Eastland for the 8-day Kilimanjaro trek via Lemosho route, and had the adventure of a lifetime! We went as part of a group of 17, which included wonderful guides, porters, and cooks. All were so pleasant, positive, and helpful in making our hike memorable. Food, tents, bathrooms throughout were set up well and despite the extreme conditions on the mountain we were well taken care of. I came with friends and left with a family, go with Eastland! Shoutout to Charles and David our guides, and all we met on our journey.
aschneids152025-09-14Great experience for 4-day safari We hired Eastland to be our safari guide for a 4-day trip. Daniel (owner of the company) helped us plan the trip, he and the rest of the people involved were great to work with. Dilly was our guide and he was awesome! He was great to travel with, extremely knowledgeable, and accommodated whatever we needed. Dilly knows a bunch of other guides, which was very helpful. Each guide would let others where to find certain exotic animals if they came across them. We saw every animal we wanted to see (lions, hippos, elephants, monkeys, etc.) and saw a ton throughout the park. Highly recommend Eastland Adventures for a safari.
Alex S2025-09-11Wonderful Experience hiking Kilimanjaro! My wife and I hired Eastland Adventures to guide us on the 8-day Lemosho route to hike Kilimanjaro. It was an amazing experience thanks to our crew below! Guides - Charles and Erick Chef - Shedrack Waiter - Albini Private Restroom Porter - Mlay Porters 1. Denis 2. Petro 3. Rajabu 4. Natanaeli 5. Fredy 6. Juma The entire crew was extremely attentive, helpful, and overly accommodating. The whole crew was very helpful with assisting minor things that made the experience great, such as setting our tent up in optimal areas each night, helping us with our hiking needs (fixing water bladders, adjusting poles, etc.), and going above and beyond to ensure we summited the peak. Highly recommend this crew. Charles and Erick are guides you want to summit the mountain with. They were knowledgeable, motivating, and a pleasure to be around throughout the entire trip! We thoroughly enjoyed spending time with them and they were crucial to our success, helping us with whatever we needed. They even offered to carry our backpacks the night of the summit. Eastland Adventures is also a locally run company. We preferred supporting the local people and felt our experience with Erick and Charles was better than those who used larger international companies, from what we could see. We’ll remember this trip forever due to Charles, Erick, and the rest of the crew! Highly recommend Eastland Adventures if you want to summit Kilimanjaro.
Miguel S2025-08-12Exceptional Kilimanjaro Trek Experience with an Incredible Team We had an unforgettable time trekking Kilimanjaro thanks to this amazing team. They supported us every step of the way, and their help was especially valuable during the final days at high altitude. A special thanks to KC and Msafiri for their expert guidance and encouragement, and to our “Stomach Engineer” for going above and beyond with delicious meals that kept our energy and spirits high. Truly an exceptional experience from start to finish!
Kellie F2025-07-23Kilimanjaro Lemosho route, four day safari and balloon flight over Serengeti! Please do not look past this company! They were so attentive and supportive for our team of ten on the Kilimanjaro climb and safari tour. Before we even finished our sentence if we went to make a request, it was being acted upon! They fully understand the hiker experience and do everything in their power to make it the most enjoyable and rewarding journey right from the moment you step off the plane. A++ rating from our whole team!
Sally M2025-07-15Amazing adventure Hi Daniel and team, I would just like to say thank you for the amazing experience that I had with Eastland Adventures and Take Shape Adventures. Your team of guides and porters were absolutely fantastic. I especially love the conversations that I was able to have with Tlusa, David and Leo. I really appreciated Tlusa sharing his family stories with me and through David I have a much better understanding of Tanzania. The summit day, was exhilarating and very tiring, talking to David really helped me enjoy the walk down from the summit. Thank you so much to all your team, you have made my holiday absolutely incredible. Thanks Sally
Gill2025-07-13Highly recommend Eastland Adventures for climbing Kilimanjaro and 4-day Safari Climbing Kilimanjaro : Highly recommend Eastland Adventures for their attention to detail, skilled team and extraordinary service while climbing Kilimanjaro - what an awesome fun team they have - always thinking ahead to what we need each day, monitoring our health, keeping us safe, encouraged and well fed at all times. 4-day Safari : also excellent, our driver George knew the tracks so well and took us to so so many animals and safe picnic locations. We never felt rushed and were able to take our time for photos and just observing. He always checked with us before moving on.

Melle W2025-05-1411/10 RECOMMEND EASTLAND ADVENTURES for Kili climb! ❤️ Safe, knowledgeable, prepared, fun & successful! Climbing Kilimanjaro with Eastland Adventures was the experience of a lifetime. We were amazed by the large support team—many hands truly made light work. The guides were knowledgeable, fun, and incredibly supportive. They knew every detail of the mountain and made us feel safe at every step. Summit day was no joke, but when we got stuck, they carried our packs (on top of there's!!) when we struggled (still makes me tear up), helping us reach the top. The food was incredible (especially for being on a mountain!), and the accommodations before the climb were clean and secure. Everything was thoughtfully organized—even personalized mugs! Can’t recommend them enough. Feel free to message on IG: @mellewilliamson.
