The roads to and from the national parks are CHALLENGING, and those within the park even more so. Be prepared for lots of bumps and mud, but the reward is MORE THAN WORTH IT!!! The Serengeti is never ending, and has more animals that you can even imagine. Ngorongoro is not to be missed either. Lemosho route is the most dramatic and beautiful route up to Kilimanjaro. It is the most remote and getting popularity now days which traverse some of Kilimanjaro most striking and least traveled landscapes, including the base of Kibo Peak’s and dramatic south-facing glaciers. 6 Days Kilimanjaro Climb Lemosho Route has added benefits of trekking across the Shira Plateau a World Heritage Site trekking 180 degrees around Kilimanjaro and also this route allowed plenty of time to acclimatize to the high altitude and this is the key to your safety, comfort, enjoyment and success while trekking mountain Kilimanjaro. Lemosho route can be climb for 6 days, 7 days and 8 days depend with your time and budget.

The Northern Circuit Route is a new unique route and the longest trail on Mount Kilimanjaro. It goes through the untouched northern slope and begins in the West of Mount Kilimanjaro at the Londorossi Gate with excellent views from all sides of the mountain. The trail is less popular and thus good for people looking for a quieter route. Northern circuit route can be a good optional for those people who need more time for acclimatization will trekking the roof of Africa and it can be done in 10 days including an extra night at crater camp or for 9 days without camping at crater camp.

Western Breach Route Kilimanjaro Climb is one of the least crowded routes and one of the most fascinating. This is by far best non-technical route on the mountain and our summit day is only a 1 to 2 hour hike from our last camp. One of the best features of the route is the longer, slower ascent which gives the body time to acclimatize to the altitude gradually- this greatly increases the success rate. The final night before summit is spent sleeping in the crater next to the towering Furtwangler Glaciers, giving you a stunning view westward towards Mount Meru and the setting African sun. The final ascent is then only 195m and can be undertaken after sunrise and a leisurely breakfast or just early enough to be at the summit during sunrise. This is quite a contrast to the 1200m log required to summit via all other base camp to the summit.

Umbwe Route: Is the most scenic but is recommended only for experienced climbers. It starts with a quick ascend, so it provides very little time for acclimatization. It is located at the southern part of the mountain and referred to whisky route because of its steep ascend. It can be climbed in 6 to 7 days. To get to Umbwe gate 1600m you have to drive to Machame gate first to get your entry permit, then you have to drive about 30km back to Moshi and take a diversion left to Umbwe village. 6 Days Kilimanjaro Climb – Umbwe Route
Compared to the other routes it does not provide enough time for acclimatization because from beginning it is very steep.

In December 2024, we completed the 7-day Rongai route, which was great for acclimatization and to enjoy the Kilimanjaro adventure without feeling rushed. After our progress on the first day and with our guides' advice, we were able to spend two nights rather than one at a higher elevation to acclimatize better, which made our Kilimanjaro adventure even more successful. On summit night, we hiked up with our guides and support porters. Summit night/day was a challenging climb for us because of the altitude, and we would not have made it to the summit without our summit team. They were encouraging, patient, and supportive. Reaching the summit was a dream come true! Overall, it was an experience of a lifetime. Eastland Adventures went above and beyond what we could have ever imagined. He arranged everything from transportation, lodging, knowledgeable mountain guides, fantastic cook, and amazing porters. We had a small group of family (only 3 of us). We didn't know what to expect landing in Tanzania for the first time, but felt very welcome and gained some new local family. Everything was on-time and as scheduled. We were fed like royalty and had, the always welcome, coffee and tea in the morning and tea time in the evening. After our Kili hike, we chose to run in the Moshi marathon. Then, we departed on Safari for 4 days. MINDS BLOWN!!! Our driver Raymond was amazing! The roads to and from the national parks are CHALLENGING, and those within the park even more so. Be prepared for lots of bumps and mud, but the reward is MORE THAN WORTH IT!!! The Serengeti is never ending, and has more animals that you can even imagine. Ngorongoro is not to be missed either. Each and every detail was planned for us, which made it easier for us to really enjoy all that the country has to offer. DO NOT HESITATE to consider Eastland for your Tanzania adventure!!!
