Day 1
Hotel to Momella gate to Miriakamba Hut
Drive from Arusha to Momella Gate takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Once at the gate we will finish all the procedures and depart for the trek. The trek takes you through places from where you can catch breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro and the renowned Momella lakes. Trekkers encounter wildlife like Bushbucks, Cape Buffaloes, Giraffes, and Warthogs during this day. We continue a short distance until we reach the Miriakamba hut. Elevation: 1500m/4921ft to 2500m/8202ft Distance: 6km/3.5mi Hiking Time: 4-5 hours

Day 2
Miriakamba Hut to Saddle Hut
Today we trek through the steep path along the ridge of the saddle. On the way, you can witness the stunning Meru crater, the ash cone, and little Meru. There are chances of us encountering wildlife like Cape Buffaloes and the black and white Colobus monkey. We will end the trek up at Saddle hut. Once you have settled at the camp we will set off on a short trek to little Meru (3810m) for acclimatization purpose and return to Saddle hut. Day 3
Saddle Hut to Socialist Peak to Miriakamba Hut
We wake up just after midnight and have a light meal to keep our energies high. Once done with the meal we start the final ascent to Socialist Peak. This ascent will be steep and we will be making our way through gravel and rocky cliffs. This is the most mentally and physically challenging portion of the trek. Once at the summit, you will enjoy the magnificent views of the Meru Crater and the Ash cone. There are chances that one might catch a glimpse of wildlife like mountain Reedbucks and Klipspringers over the rocky ridge. From the summit, we begin our descent by continuing straight down to the Miriakamba hut. Elevation: 3500m/11483ft to 4562m/14967ft down to 2500m/8202ft Distance: 19km/12mi Hiking Time: 10-12 hours

Miriakamba Hut to Momella gate
After breakfast, we continue the descent down to the Momella Gate, we will change the route and take the southern route down hence the change in distance trekked on this day. We will also pass through the astonishing Fig tree Arch. Our vehicle will be waiting for you at Momella gate to drive you back to your hotel in Arusha (around 1 hour and 30 minutes). The Rongai Route is one of the easiest routes and the success rate is very high. The route starts on the north side of the mountain just south of the Kenyan border, and is one of the least travelled routes. The descent is down the Marangu Route on the south side of the mountain, so climbers see the mountain from many viewpoints. The drive to the trail head takes about 3 hours from Moshi through many villages and coffee plantations, including a stop to register climbing permits at Marangu. The Rongai Route can also be accessed from Amboseli National Park in Kenya. Allow 2 hours including border crossing. We will need copies of passports ahead of time.

Londorosi route: It is also located at the western part of the mountain and you can climb it in 6-8 days. 7 Days Kilimanjaro Climb – Londorosi Route is also known as Shira Plateau. It is used rarely as it requires a 4 x 4 vehicle to drive you from Londorosi gate to the end of vehicle track 22km farther. This route is suitable only during the dry season. It is a popular route for honeymoon trips and people who like the trails which are not populated.
Climbing via Shira Plateau route looks similar to the Lemosho route. The only difference is that you’ll drive from Londorosi gate to Morrum barrier, about 22km, which takes less than 2 hour and the hike can start from there. Also via this route can be climbed for 6days, 7Days and 8days but we strongly recommend at least 7days itinerary in order to get more time for relax and acclimatization.

Nicknamed the “Whiskey” route because the route is popularized as somewhat difficult and more expensive than Marangu route. On an overall comparison of the routes to scale Kilimanjaro, this is one of the best routes to take, both in terms of acclimatization and cost. The Machame route is considered a difficult route, and is better suited for more adventurous trekkers and those with some hiking or backpacking experience.
The Machame route is scenically beautiful and varied. However, due to its popularity there are increased numbers of trekkers, it loses some of its splendour. The Machame route approaches the summit from the southwest and descends using the Mweka route, rewarding climbers with views of the expansive Shira Plateau, an optional scramble up Lava Tower, a climb up the Great Barranco wall, and a traverse underneath Kilimanjaro’s southern ice field. In certain sections this route is steeper than the Marangu and Rongai routes and physically more demanding but is easier overall.

On this trip, we enjoy a whole week in which to explore some of Tanzania’s amazing natural wonders. This exciting safari concentrates to a large extent on the Great Migration as it spends its time in Central Serengeti. In October, this is where we’ll find huge numbers of herd animals such as wildebeest and zebra, as the world’s biggest animal movement seeks grazing terrain. Of course, Nature and rainfall determine the exact route and timings of the animals’ movement, so our daily schedule will be adjusted if necessary to ensure that we see the animals at their very best, at their most numerous.
From our starting-point in Moshi, our spectacular adventure takes us first to Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant population and its landscape of distinctive baobab trees. We then drive to our next destination, Central Serengeti, where we enjoy two whole days marveling at Tanzania’s outstanding wildlife. Each day will bring something new, all explained to you by your expert driver-guide. The Great Migration is often the highlight of people’s lives, never mind the highlight of their safari! After absorbing all the excitement that Serengeti’s wildlife can provide, we head back south, changing scenery to visit stunning Ngorongoro crater, another incredible but totally different venue for the breathtaking animals of Tanzania. The Serengeti is never ending, and has more animals that you can even imagine. Ngorongoro is not to be missed either.
