URU COFFEE TOUR AND MATERUNI WATERFALLS
The coffee tour provides the client enough time to visit natural manufacturing of coffee. You will meet with the farmers directly and you will see the plants from the first stage to harvest stage and how they manufacture coffee locally. At the end of the process you will get a cup of coffee that is low on caffeine because it does not contain any chemicals. It takes 45 minutes to drive from Moshi to Uru village.
Also you will be able to see how local people live, their main activities which is farming and tending to their livestock. You can taste their local beer, which is called Mbege and is made of ripe banana and figure millet.
To get there is a drive of 1 hour from Moshi and you will meet a local guide to give you all the information you need.
NOTE: The lunch will be included in your payment.
After visiting the coffee farms and and learning how it is being produced you can refresh by swimming in the waterfalls which are located just half a kilometer from the village.
NOTE: The water is cold because it is coming from the montane zone of mount Kilimanjaro. Don’t forget your swimming gear!
